[ACTION FOR THE TG HOUSE]
...Well, monsieur, I actually don't know what to tell you. It's not as though I could have done anything regarding him leaving, so – arrête-vous and do stop giving me that look, it's not going to get us anywhere.
[So. From the sound of it, either Tsukiyama's finally cracked and he's having a very animated conversation with himself, or he's trying to deal with something more than slightly out of the ordinary in the study today; anyone who happens to venture downstairs will find that it's...perhaps thankfully a case of the latter, since he seems to be dealing with a high-leveled Alakazam that's done literally nothing but kind of sulk and glower at him since he got it.
And it's been quite some time since he got it.]
It's been quite some time since then, hasn't it? Really, you'd think almost three months would be enough...
[He mutters something to himself then as though to punctuate it; it's a bit hard to make out, but it's presumably a lot of for god's sake and hideously obstinate and I only took eighteen days to sort myself out –
It's that latter bit that seems to finally snag on something, mentally, and he just kind of stares at the damn Pokémon for a second before he sighs and rakes a hand back through his hair.]
Although...I suppose I haven't let you out of the ball enough to really process anything. If you want to languish, then I suppose you might as well get it all out of your system now, but don't do it for too long because apparently Banjou-san gets all testy about that.
[...Tsukiyama, at least you didn't get hit in the face with the frozen peas that day, consider yourself fortunate.
That said, though...]
...You...do know how to languish properly, don't you?
[The Alakazam just kind of looks at him like he's got no idea what he's talking about, and Tsukiyama's gaze is quick to dart to the literal fainting couch sitting a short ways away in the room, and...well, it seems the Alakazam likes whatever Tsukiyama's brain just spat out.
...And that, my friends, is how Tsukiyama decided he was going to spend the next good while teaching Alekhine how to faint like a Proper Victorian Lady. Because Meridiana taught him how to do this nine months ago and he might as well pay it forward.]
[...Well, it seems Tsukiyama's been a busy person today, if by "busy" we also mean "not necessarily productive"; he's spent a good amount of the day being the stupidest moral support possible for the Alakazam visible in the far background of the shot (said Pokémon is lying melodramatically on what looks like a literal fainting couch, one arm flopped over his eyes, spoons clutched for dear life because apparently that is just what our lives have become today) and for now he's contented himself with the knowledge that there's not much to do outside of let Alekhine do his thing back there and get on with his life as best he sees fit.
The video itself is set up off to the side of the piano he's got in the study; Tsukiyama's hands are visible, as are the sleeves of his outfit – he's back in the Trainer class whatnot today – but there isn't much else, and he takes a moment to place his hands, shifting position a few times as though trying to decide what he wants to play today. Eventually he settles, though, and the patterns are obviously familiar to him; they become simplified after a while as he speaks, addressing the video proper this time.]
Bonsoir to all of you – to those who have just joined us recently, and those who have been here for a while still! I've missed speaking to all of you; I really ought to get better at it, what with how much I say that, n'est-ce pas?
[There's a light laugh behind his words, though it's a bit subdued – not fake, just a little distant.]
I'm feeling a little nostalgic today, I suppose – not for home, exactly, as I'm quite enjoying my stay here, but...they say that once in a while it's natural that you miss the person you were, and I think that's something I've been doing lately. This place has a way of changing people, doesn't it?
I've always believed that any experiences we have are valuable to us in some way – the things we go through shape who we are, whether we can appreciate it or not. The good things give us character, the bad things give us strength, and either way we should enjoy what experiences we've been given because we'll come out the other side different to how we came in. The worst experience one can have isn't suffering, I think, it's stagnation.
...Ah, but I've never really seen a point in suffering, anyway, not when I don't have to.
[...Tsukiyama, it doesn't work like that.]
My time here has been good to me, in terms of new experiences; I'm grateful for all of them, I think. As such, I'm going to ask that you all do something for me again, the same thing I ask almost every time I talk to everyone – go out and do something that interests you, something you haven't done before, or perhaps something you particularly enjoy but don't usually indulge in. Tell me about it if you like; I love hearing about things like that.
Either way, here's to another year.
