Ah, good afternoon, messieurs et mesdames!

[Holy shit, it seems somebody's in a great mood today – particularly when compared to the last few times he's been around on the network.

It's not exactly the greatest out there, weather-wise, but he seems to be going...somewhere outdoors as he broadcasts, filming as he goes; it's overcast but it's above freezing, and he's got that one bright blue coat on and over it he's got the most godawful scarf in the history of anything (it's got way too many colors and it's about two feet too long and basically it was made by a knitting bug and it looks it – so we can all thank Fujisaki-chan for unleashing this monstrosity on the world, cheers to you Fujisaki-chan), and his face is a little flushed due to both the cold and Tsukiyama just generally being worked up for god only knows what reason, and clearly it's a good day all around.]

It's been an excellent day so far, a good day for pursuing one's passions, for seeking out the ultimate experience...pleasure is the greatest reward one can give oneself, and if you haven't rewarded yourself today – ah, the only question left is why you haven't!

[And from the sudden aggressive blur of colors in the background, that was accompanied by the most enthusiastic little twirl because of course it was.]

So listen to me – I want you all to pursue something for me today! Something new, something you already enjoy - anything you want, just as long as it's something that pleases you. Today's been an alright day. I've just been training my team as much as I can since the weather's cooperating. I'm not unused to the cold, but some of this weather has been more trouble than I'm used to.

And what have you been up to?

Celebrating a bit with friends, mostly; granted, one of them wanted to start the celebrating a bit early for my liking, but I can't really complain about the outcome.

Especially now that it seems to have stopped hailing for at least a brief while.

Good. You should enjoy your birthday - that's part of what they're for, after all.

Oh, certainly - I tend to consider both being brought into the world and managing to not leave it over the course of the last year worthy of celebration, after all.

Some years are trickier than others for that, admittedly. But I'd like to think that the world is at least more colorful with you in it.

It's a little hard to be in a bad mood with some of these Pokemon around.

Ah, I can see why! They look rather charming...I've been spending a good amount of time with the ones I've taken to raising as well, I'll have to get photos of them sometime.

So things have been going well for you, then?

More or less. We might head out of Goldenrod at some point soon. My higher level Pokemon are getting bored of the challenges around here.

I should be leaving for Ecruteak shortly myself; I'm escorting a friend up there, she doesn't want to travel alone. I've never been; it'll be an interesting time, I'm sure.

I haven't been there either, though I've heard that it's got buildings that look like traditional Japanese buildings.

That's what I've heard as well; honestly, it seems that that's the first thing people tell you about once they hear you're from Japan.

I'm not sure if that's considerate of them or more than a little appalling.

I'm not sure either. There's really none of those buildings in the city I come from - but the city was a planned one, with buildings drawn up specifically for certain areas and the architecture very modern. I haven't seen really 'traditional' buildings outside of school trips.

Needless to say, there's not much like that in the particular area I grew up in, either.

I'm just going to assume they mean well, for my own peace of mind.
