[ Chie shows up a minute or so late; presumably something caught her attention along the way and she got sidetracked taking pictures of it. She's wearing the outfit she'd found in the backpack Mom gave her all the way back in New Bark, and the Marill she caught earlier that day is sitting in her shoulder bag. ]

Why the lighthouse, if you don't mind my asking?

One of the sailors at Olivine Café said the view from the observation deck is amazing.

[ As she speaks, she moves to take a picture of some small white flowers that grow near the entrance, carefully composing her shot in the viewfinder before pressing the button. ]

He also told me that this lighthouse is illuminated by a Pokémon. If I get a picture of it, I'll be one step closer to my goal.

Ah, I've heard something similar, though I haven't been able to see for myself - I've been assisting Miss Everett and all.

He glances upwards, tilting his head back as he does so.]

[ Chie also looks up after she lowers her camera; her Marill tries to mimic her, but given that it's basically a round sphere of mouse with no neck it doesn't quite succeed. ]

Yeah, let's go.

[ And inside they go! The bottom floor of the lighthouse is fairly spacious and well kept, and it's slightly cooler than the outside. Chie casts her gaze around, quickly finding the elevator and then the staircase. ]

[He's content to let her look around; he's not particularly in a rush, and she tends to find things interesting that he does not and photos usually commence, so you go ahead and do your thing, little mouse.

[ She'll be doing exactly that, then, stopping to snap a few shots of one of the potted plants. ]

I tried one today and it sorta tasted like an Oreo wrapped in a donut. It wasn't bad.

One of these days, you're going to actually find a particular combination of ingredients that's going to make you incredibly sick, and when that day comes you had best remember that I told you so.

[That said, he's going to be messing with the buttons on the elevator for a second.]

Apparently it only runs one way - it doesn't seem that we're able to call it down.

Eh, my stomach can handle most junk food. [ ...At least she acknowledges that it's junk? ]

Looks we're going to have to take the stairs, then.

[ There's nothing else around that she wants to photograph, so once that's said she heads for the stairs. She does wait for him to follow instead of immediately running up to the next floor, at least. ]
