(Meridiana, you probably want this one.)

"Ah, amore, it seems I've missed you; do leave something for me and we'll see if we can rectify that, shall we?"
samsa: (Huff □ well okay that's your opinion)

I guess it's less that it hurts really bad, and more that the pain is just...lasting? Like, it's not a really deep cut, so it shouldn't still be hurting a few hours later.

[Which brings to mind infection, but he is trying really hard to not think about that right now.]
samsa: (Nervous □ Im doing the hand thing)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it...can be pretty annoying.

[He isn't even going to argue that, humans kindof suck in that way.]

Just be glad you didn't break a bone or something. Those take even longer.
samsa: (Speaking □ now a word from our Kaneki)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Usually. Sometimes six or eight weeks, depending on how bad it is. By then it's closer to being a few months than a few weeks.
samsa: (Eyepatch □ my eye does this thing)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Humans are...really resilient that way. I've read stories where people have been impaled and somehow survived, even after spending months in intensive care. Or even people who have had things lodged in their brains and didn't even realize it until they went in for x-rays after complaining about headaches.

That thing that attacked you didn't get you too badly either, did it?
samsa: (Watching □ and judging with espresso)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
That's the only thing that's really bothering me. I think I might check back with Nurse Joy if it's still hurting in a couple days, but I don't think there's much else she could do.

[After all, Pokemon Centers are...exactly that, Pokemon Centers. They aren't very equipped for taking vast numbers of injured people, like they suddenly are right now.]
samsa: (Contemplative □ that book was so bad)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
It's possible...it wouldn't be good if it were something like that, but it would probably be treatable.

[Even worse if it's something like...rabies. Don't animals act oddly docile at first when they have rabies, though? ...could Pokemon even have rabies?]

I guess the question now is whether these things are going to stick around or not.
samsa: (Glance □ why always me)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
They weren't all agitated like this though, right?

[Kaneki never experienced the joy of Espurrs raining from the sky, but at least they weren't going around attacking people.]
samsa: (Hesitant □ does that go there)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
[...if Chie was right about the apocalypse he's going to be really upset.]

...there was something else I noticed, when that second thing attacked us. It was strong, but it responded to some attacks. Chie-san's Raichu was able to paralyze it to keep it from chasing us, but Poison Sting didn't do anything at all. It makes me wonder if it was some kind of type that we can't identify.

I guess it doesn't matter much now, but it's still...strange.
samsa: (Nervous □ this is fine)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-20 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
Chie-san mentioned that it looked like a steel Tentacruel. It could have been both, in that case.
samsa: (Exasperated □ do u even lift)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-10-21 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with you there...I'm not sure if an explanation for these things would even make them less unnerving.
