I was at this bar and this guy followed me out when I left and started pulling that "oh looks like I'm walking in the same direction as you tee hee come here often" bullshit.

I didn't feel like decking him or stuffing him in a dumpster so he got the subtle letdown for once.

Ah, not as much as I used to; I had a friend back home that I would go out with and we would make a spectacle of ourselves far more often than we should have, but I haven't really found anyone to do that with here and I'm not particularly interested in drinking alone.

See, I just have the bad luck to keep ending up the supportive ear to lend when I go out with people, 'cause I'm apparently drinking buddies with a bunch of sadsacks.

So I figured since I felt like being a sadsack tonight, the least I could do is not inflict it on anybody else.

Nothing worth writing home about. I've been in this place a year and a handful of extra days now, and that was fine up until it hit me how long it's been since the last time I saw someone I know.
